Films By Design is an affiliate brand of Sound By Design, a Milwaukee wedding entertainment company founded in 1996.
After a near 20 year legacy in the wedding industry, Torie Gamez and Tony Lopez joined forces to extend their event service offerings to include videography, creating Films By Design. Since then, Films By Design has shot hundreds of weddings and partnered with dozens of local businesses offering video marketing in the Milwaukee area.
Beginning in 2020, Films by Design is now a part of our family of brands that include Events By Design, Sound By Design, Films By Design, and Events to a T. These four brands allow us to provide a wide array of customizable service options for your event needs.

Torie is the President and Owner of Sound By Design and co-founder of Films By Design. He is a self-taught videographer and often works as a second shooter alongside Tony at weddings and other events. He also combines his skill as a production designer with his knowledge of videography to design corporate event displays with elaborate audio/visual and live streaming. His outside hobbies include traveling, hanging with son Julian, wife Tiara, and their two dogs Murphy and Ralphie, and cheering on the Milwaukee Bucks!

Behind The Camera
Tony is the lead videographer and editor at Films By Design. After studying film at UW-Milwaukee, he started his freelance career doing video projects for local businesses. In 2014, he helped found Films By Design, a sub-brand of Sound By Design. In addition to being an expertly skilled cameraman, Tony really excels in the editing process. Every video Films By Design has ever created, Tony has had a hand in the editing. This ensures a consistent editing style and a high-quality video every time. When Tony isn’t working, he loves to listen to rock music, play his guitar, and talk about outer space.

Jake started as a DJ with Sound By Design. Like Tony, he studied film at UW-Milwaukee, graduating in 2014. He has been a part of Films By Design since the beginning and is one of our senior shooters. Outside of work, he enjoys spending his spare time watching movies, taking photos, going to concerts, and hanging with his feline friends (Maura, Opie and Charlie).
